Sugar Bowl X'mas

We spent the X'mas week in Lake Tahoe with Uncle Chris, Auntie Connie and Vincent. Had two days of perfect weather and fresh powder, then got snowed in on Christmas day, followed by two more days of awesome skiing. Lots of family bonding, friendly but heated Wii sports competitions, and tons of good laughs!

Navin learned to turn on this trip, and officially graduated to the intermediate slopes. He likes to whistle while he skis. Niles continued to perfect his skills, and was fearless as ever. He enjoyed the jumps at the terrain park.


On Christmas morning, the boys woke up early and here they are getting all excited about the gifts Santa left them:

Halloween

For this year, the boys were dressed up as Bobble Head Ghost (Niles) and Darth Vader (Navin).

Cousin Megha's 5th Birthday

Princess Megha turned five!

Camping @ Portola Redwoods

On Oct 4-5, we camped at this beautiful park less than an hour drive from home, along with a number of PACT families. It was raining when we get there on Saturday morning, and rained for a few more hours before the sun showed its face. The air was incredibly fresh and smells delicious from all the great, big redwood trees and other plants. Kowsik and the boys managed to pitch the tent in a drizzle and kept the inside dry!

We found three banana slugs around our group camp site. The one was crossing the street.






The boys went on hikes, climbed trees, built forts with branches, had stick fights, and got really, really muddy and filthy :) We had a blast!





The kids even put on a show after the Sunday fire-side breakfast. Here is Niles doing a stand-up joke :)

Rocket day

We had an awesome day at PACT with Rocket Day. Here's Niles with his friends and the rocket that he built.



Here's a little video clip of Navin's rocket sky-rocketing up. It was one of the highest ones.

Vacation in Tahoe

We just got back from Tahoe skiing in Heavenly. Got two storms and tons of powder. Navin got to go to ski school and Niles is on blues already!
